Panchayats are the backbone of rural governance in India. They play a critical role in promoting health and wellness in their communities. ABDUL RASHID SIDDIQUI HEALTH FOUNDATION (ARSH FOUNDATION) has been working with panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir to strengthen coordination and improve health outcomes. For example, in {{DISTRICT}}, Jammu and Kashmir, ABDUL RASHID SIDDIQUI HEALTH FOUNDATION (ARSH FOUNDATION) has launched a program to promote panchayat coordination and community participation in health programs. The program has reached over 100 panchayats and has led to a 25% increase in the number of panchayats implementing health programs. According to the Panchayat Raj Ministry, only 40% of panchayats in Jammu and Kashmir have a functional health committee. ABDUL RASHID SIDDIQUI HEALTH FOUNDATION (ARSH FOUNDATION)'s program has also promoted effective governance by providing training on health planning and budgeting. Arjun Singh, a panchayat official from {{DISTRICT}}, Jammu and Kashmir, says: 'The training provided by ABDUL RASHID SIDDIQUI HEALTH FOUNDATION (ARSH FOUNDATION) has been instrumental in helping us to develop a comprehensive health plan for our community.'
